COMMITTEES

Budget/Contract Committee

Develops and recommends a budget to the Board of Directors.

Approves all budgets and spending.

Formulates Agreements for staff services.

 

Nominating Committee

Formulates recommendations to the Board of Directors for Officers and members of the Board of Directors for election at the July seminar and installation at the September meeting.

Conducts election of Officers and Members of the Board of Directors at the annual seminar.

 

Legislative Committee

Develops a Legislative Platform to guide the Chair in making decisions throughout the year. The Chair of the Legislative Committee is the only Board Member who is authorized by the Board to act without Board approval so long as the actions are consistent with the Board adopted Legislative Platform.

Works with the City Managers Task Force.

Works with the Events Committee to coordinate Legislative Days in Sacramento.

Meets to develop recommendations to the Board of Directors and major issues and legislative matters

 

Membership Committee

Develops and implements methods for recruiting new member cities. Delivers presentations to member city or potential member city elected. Maintains and develops relationships with existing members. Works with Executive Director to collect membership dues.

 

Events Committee

Develops and recommends special events for participation by member cities such as, Legislative Days in Sacramento, Installation Dinner, General Membership Meetings, December Holiday Reception, networking and educational events, and Ed Series Luncheons.

 

Summer Seminar Program Committee

Develops the Summer Seminar program and makes majority policy decisions (one or two meetings). Works with the Treasurer and Executive Director, Gold and Platinum level sponsors, as well as, the President of the LACPCA.

The Seminar Chair is authorized to make all subsequent decisions.

 

Winter Seminar Program Committee

Develops the Winter Seminar program and makes major policy decisions (one or two meetings). Works with the Treasurer and Executive Director, Gold and Platinum level sponsors, as well as, the President of the LACPCA. The seminar Chair is authorized to make all subsequent decisions.
